He's trying to resist blogging, but I know it's just a matter of time before he's hooked!!!

For any newcomers, Gramma Bev came to visit us in July of 1999 and never left . . . Now she is a pemanent fixture in our laundry room (literally). When she is not busy volunteering as our personal laundry attendant, school taxi driver and part-time cook, she stays busy volunteering (for Steve) at the Health and Wellness Center. Her latest venture is a "youth group" at church (where she also volunteers) but she still saves time for her latest passion . . . reading.
This photo was taken at the wedding of the first Jungbauer grandchild. Josh and Sarah Jungbauer were married in July of 2003. Don and his family couldn't make it, but Carol, Steve and Mike (father of the groom and Minnesota senator) all enjoyed the celebration.

Displayed here are 2 of the hottest (coolest?) items at Sacred Heart School.
The shoes have also taken the school by storm! Fortunately, the dress code does not address shoes. (My guess is that the nuns are wearing them under their habits too!)
Spent part of the day picking up sticks from the winter wind storms. Driving down Armstrong Road today I counted eight dead deer and am amazed at the garbage in the ditch this year. Even our field is peppered with trash that has blown in from somewhere.

Every parent is proud of their children. Tracy is graduating from Hanover College in May. Her major is Theater. We hope she becomes a highly paid actress. With any luck she can support us in our old age. At the very least we will be able to travel to see her perform.
We saw Tracy in one of her last performances at Hanover this weekend. As you can see by the photo, she has much better stage presence than her father and all of them are characters!!!

It takes 1 week to get ready for vacation and at least 2 weeks to catch up after vacation . . . hence the time delay in posting our latest adventure.

In March, we travelled to Longmont, CO where we met Bubby (aka Eric) and his friend Stephanie. Steve had an Orion Software board of directors summit at Keystone. Brandon Fuller, the President of Orion himself, along with his charming wife and daughter, hosted our short break from reality.
I'm not sure which was most exciting for Sarah & Rachel: meeting Stephanie, seeing big brother Bubby again or . . . getting to ride in Brandon's Hummer!!! I wouldn't ask them to choose, but we all enjoyed our time with Steph and she was a very good sport.
We also enjoyed a day of skiing at Keystone. Sarah, Bubby and Stephanie tried snowboarding though the altitude took its toll in more ways than one.
On the way home, a spring squall dumped about 8 inches of snow on us. The drive down the mountain turned into a treacherous slalom course that took three hours instead of one to complete. Steve won the gold medal for leading us across the finish line safely!!! We went 4-wheeling the next day and then tried to ski again before going home but were shut down by 100 mph winds!
Rachel discovered yet another culinary delight . . . crab legs. Sarah still prefers to stick with filet mignon . . . I gotta get back to work!!!
I may have agreed to using Blogs on this website a little too soon. I didn't realize the implications of having other people post remarks. Now that I have seen how you all treat us sun deprived hoosiers I may have to search out ways to retaliate on your sites.
Here it is mid-March, cloudy and snowing! As ususal we wear our green and expect a pot of gold to appear at the end of our rainbow. No pot of gold today but I would settle for a touch of spring. If it weren't so cold (29 degrees) the water looks great to go footin. I am sure Erin could be talked into that almost anytime from here on out. We can only hope to see the sun soon.
Each year it has become tradition to put the pier in on the first weekend of March. Yes, it has been in earlier and for the last two years, we have been a week late. Last weekend we were in Colorado but the ice was just coming off the lake. In fine tradition, half inch thick ice was broken, which melted away by late afternoon when the wind picked up. As tradition would have it the pier is placed and followed by snow. We awoke this morning to a light snow.

Welcome to the "New" Jungbauer Family Website. Once again we need to learn a new computer program. While it doesn't seem to difficult it will take some time to advance on the learning curve. Our personal IT Slave thinks it is easy. We are not convinced it is so easy. Still lots of questions on how we do this and do that. Not much color yet but there must be some simple step to change the color and add pictures. Stay tuned and I am sure you will grow with us.
